Recently the government has decided that notaries will become regular VAT payers as from 1 January 2012.

Meanwhile SDP has not been standing still either. Immediately after the very first announcement, the SDP ActaLibra team deliberated with internal and external accountants and VAT specialists on the development of a new version of the ActaLibra software. It soon appeared that certain new procedures needed to be followed in view of the VAT obligation for notaries and the VAT application on their accountancy.

This new software version will be available free of charges for the hundreds of notary’s offices working with the accountancy module of SDP ActaLibra.

On 30 and 31 January 2012 SDP organised information sessions for all its customers so that notaries were duly informed and able to continue their accountancy. A small impression:
